Breakfast Club

Haslemere Chamber of Trade & Commerce Breakfast Club Thursday 3rd May 2012 The Breakfast Club provides a vibrant, friendly and interactive breakfast forum for Chamber members and their guests.
During breakfast, members are asked to consider a matter which has practical relevance to business following which, there is the opportunity to share results and thought processes with the club. Members are also invited to give a brief presentation on a subject, which they feel may be of interest or benefit, to others. During May’s breakfast meeting we will be considering the qualities that an individual needs in order to demonstrate ‘Servant Leadership’ which helps to develop and strengthen business.
Through debate, stronger links form between businesses as each gets to understand and trust others, through the mutual exposure of philosophies. This is certainly a stronger form of networking as well as a much cheaper alternative to advertising.
The Breakfast Club meets on the first Thursday of each month at Hemingways, High St, Haslemere. The price is £10, to be paid either by cheque or bank transfer in advance or, by cheque/cash on the day.
Coffee, Tea, Croissants, Pastries or Bacon Butties are available from 7.15am onwards with activities starting at 7.30am sharp. We aim to finish by 8.45am.
Places are limited so, please book early to avoid disappointment by completing and returning the slip below to, McGowan Corporate Solutions, Longdene House, Hedgehog Lane, Haslemere, GU27 2PH Alternatively, please contact Craig McGowan on 01428 661950 or email craig@mcgowancorp.co.uk

Meet the Business

Energy Efficiency in Business - when does it become a priority?

Managing energy consumption within your business is hardly the most pressing matter when compared to other factors impacting cash flow and profitability. However with gas and electricity prices showing no real sign of reducing, perhaps now is the time to think what could be done to lower consumption and expenditure. In addition, whilst we are all being encouraged to do our bit for the environment, without a clear financial benefit to going green many business owners quite understandably are not inclined to put energy at the top of their agenda.

However there are a number of things that can be done and done so relatively cheaply. Furthermore, with a range of Government programmes in place or coming down the track to incentivise businesses to tackle energy consumption, now is the time to consider measure that could have a positive impact on your bottom line.

Local business ReEnergise advise both domestic and business customers on how to deliver real returns through better energy management. They are our hosts for the Meet The Business evening reception being held at the Town Hall on Wednesday 16th May 2012 from 18:00 hrs. Their team will be on hand to give a brief overview of where energy management could play a role in your business, provide an overview of Government policy towards carbon reduction and also share their thoughts on the various options for financing an investment in energy efficiency and renewable technology.
